This set of pages is for those who are wanting an understanding of what the benefits are of using Multiple Screens (Sometimes called Dual Head). Apsects of hardware and setting up windows are covered as well as the oprions to connect your second display output to you video projector.
This is aimed as users of EasyWorship Software, but really, any one using any other software that uses multiple displays should find this helpful!

Why Two Displays?

guides 2 displays Normally computers only have one monitor, there is not normally any reason to have more than one screen. Certian industries (Financial, Design etc) find it useful, as, for example, they can have one screen with stocks and shares, and another with their spreadsheet. A designer can have one screen looking at a close up section of the artwork they are working on, and the other screen can have a view of the whole artwork.

By setting up a computer for Multiple Disply (AKA Dual Head) you are able to have one screen as a control screen for the operator, and the second screen, is the one that is seen by everyone else.

This means that the operator can be doing other things (eg finding the next song, searching for a bible verse etc) whilst everyone else is reading what is on their screen.

The congrgation is not distracted by the operator finding song, and enable the operator to easily control the software at whilst displaying a screen for the congregation.

Note, with multiple displays, you can move the mouse around both screens. eg. you can move the mouse off of the right side of the first screen, and it will appear on the left side of the second screen. -Just be careful not to get your hand caught in the middle when you do this though! Wink
