I've just come accross the 'Super' video encoder program, I found it whilst looking for a program to convert Flash video (.flv) into  MPEG 2 (mpg) format.

Technically it's just a frontend, a GUI, to a host of other programs that work behind the scene to do the video converting, these being: FFmpeg, MEncoder, MPlayer, x264, mppenc, FFmpeg2theora & the theora/vorbis RealProducer plugIn. What this means is, is that you get great flexibility and it's easy to use!
